As a motion picture agent, Dakhil represents some of the world’s most successful actors, writers, and directors, guiding such luminary talent as Tom Cruise, Ava DuVernay, Reese Witherspoon, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Mindy Kaling, Madonna, Sam Mendes, Natalie Portman, Chloé Zhao, Lena Dunham, Ayo Edebiri, Justine Triet, Melina Matsoukas, Juan Antonio Bayona, Yorgos Lanthimos, Olivia Wilde, Denis Villeneuve, Steve McQueen, Lenny Abrahamson, Danny Strong, Dakota Johnson, Anne Hathaway, Lisa Joy, and Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground, among others. She also recently signed Adam McKay and his multiplatform production company, Hyperobject Industries.
In her leadership roles at CAA as Managing Director, Co-Chair of CAA Amplify, and Co-Head of the International Film Group, Dakhil advances the agency’s inclusion initiatives, connects underrepresented talent to global opportunities, and helps expand the motion picture department’s global reach. She is recognized for building long-term strategies with clients that often extend to producing, financing, and launching their own companies, including Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, Portman’s Mountain A, and Dunham’s Good Thing Going, plus others.
Beyond her client work, Dakhil serves on the boards of the International Rescue Committee, Baby2Baby, Fashion Trust US, and the UCLA Lab School. Earlier this year, she was elected to the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s Board of Governors, joining a group of leaders committed to supporting the care and well-being of entertainment professionals worldwide.
